Completed 66.9 percent of his passes for 3,593 yards and threw 13 interceptions as a senior. Earned Second Team All-Pac-12 honors and led the conference with a 70 percent completion rate and 4,468 passing yards while throwing for 38 touchdowns with 11 interceptions as a junior. Named First Team All-Pac-12 and led the conference by completing 69.4 percent of his passes while throwing for 4,561 yards, 38 touchdowns and eight INTs.
Pos:
Intelligent and accurate game-manager with tremendous intangibles. Remains poised under the rush and goes to the underneath outlet if downfield targets are covered. Patient, goes through progressions and buys as much time as necessary for receivers. Nimble, easily gets outside the pocket and keeps his eyes downfield. Finds the open wideout, displays timing on throws and does not make pass catchers wait for the ball. Accurate, displays the ability to place throws where only his receivers can make the catch and throws with solid fundamentals.
Neg:
Occasionally puts the ball up for grabs unnecessarily. Lacks a big arm and struggles with his downfield accuracy. Won’t pick up yardage with his legs.
Analysis:
Falk is a tremendous short and intermediate passer who displays precise accuracy and knowledge of the offense. He offers growth potential, which should help strengthen his arm, and is a developmental second-day quarterback who could develop into a starter at the next level.
