Bio:
Three-year starter who was named MAC Offensive Player of the Year as a senior and led the conference in passing yards and touchdowns in each of his final two seasons at Toledo. Led the MAC with a 64.2 percent completion rate and threw for 3,882 yards and 28 touchdowns against eight interceptions in 2017. Earned First Team All-MAC honors and completed 69.1 percent of his passes for 4,129 yards and 45 touchdowns with nine interceptions as a junior. Redshirted the 2015 season. Completed 62.5 percent of his passes for 2,263 yards, 19 touchdowns and eight INTs as a sophomore.
Pos:
Productive college quarterback with limited next-level potential. Patient in the pocket, effectively locates the open wideout and displays a sense of timing on throws. Sees the field, shows excellent awareness and knows where his receivers are at all times. Shows the ability to effectively place passes into his target’s hands.
Neg:
Must put a lot of effort into throws to get juice on passes. Misses open targets due to his inability to quickly deliver the throw. Cannot drive the ball downfield.
Analysis:
Woodside is more of a game manager than a quarterback who can carry a team. He lacks the size and arm strength for the next level but could be an asset as a third signal caller who holds the clipboard.
