Two-year starter at left tackle who was named Second Team All-MAC in 2015 and 2016. Only Northern Illinois underclassman offensive lineman to start every game as a junior.
Relatively athletic college left tackle who projects as a zone-blocking guard on Sundays. Stays square, keeps defenders in front of him and slides off the edge. Patient, fundamentally sound and quick-footed. Keeps his feet moving, works his hands and gets leverage on opponents. Quick in all his actions and stands out in pass protection. Keeps his head on a swivel and works well with teammates. Makes good use of angles, showing the ability to adjust and knock pass rushers from their angles of attack.
Possesses average strength at the point of attack and gets little movement run blocking. Lacks the height most teams want in a left tackle. Really doesn’t test well.
Myers is been a top left tackle in the MAC conference the past two seasons and has the athleticism and upside to make it out of camp this summer.
