Bio:
Junior college transfer who started both his seasons at West Virginia. Earned Second Team All-Big 12 honors and made 94 tackles (7.5 for loss) with three interceptions, one sack, a team-high two forced fumbles and four pass breakups in 2017 to earn an invitation to the Senior Bowl. Named Honorable Mention All-Big 12 and recorded 58 tackles (seven for loss), three sacks, two forced fumbles and five PBUs as a junior.
Pos:
Nice-sized strong safety best against the run. Physical and aggressive but stays with his assignments. Fierce, fires up the field and stacks well against the run. Explosive hitter who drives his shoulders through ball carriers. Breaks through blocks to get to the action and always works to make positive plays. Shows a burst to the action and moves laterally with speed. Terrific on special teams.
Neg:
Displays average skills in coverage. Better moving forward than in reverse. Shows some stiffness in coverage.
Analysis:
White has the size and temperament to play as a conventional strong safety or in a zone system and is a potential starter down the road.
