Bio:
Two-year starter who caught 23 passes for 500 yards and five touchdowns and carried 46 times for 213 yards and one score as a senior. Named Honorable Mention All-Big Sky and made 22 catches for 375 yards and four TDs while rushing 61 times for 591 yards and six scores in 2016. Posted 336 rushing yards and six TDs on 40 carries as a sophomore.
Pos:
Small but speedy skill player who comes off a disappointing season. Fluid releasing off the line of scrimmage, has burst that he turns on in a single step and shows enough speed to beat opponents in foot races. Nicely adjusts to errant throws, extends his hands and makes receptions away from his frame. Keeps plays in bounds and works to pick up yardage after the catch. Follows his blocks everywhere on the field. Displays some shiftiness with the ball in his hands and beats defenders into the open field. Effective running reverses and has return potential.
Neg:
Not a strong skill player and easily gets brought down at the point. Does not consistently catch the ball with his hands. Never truly developed at a single position.
Analysis:
Lewis has the size and speed to line up as a receiver and special-teams player but is destined for the practice squad.
