Bio:
Two-year starter who was named Honorable Mention All-MVC and made 22 catches for 272 yards and two touchdowns in 2017. Caught 17 passes for 285 yards and two TDs as a junior.
Pos:
Underrated tight end with the size, speed and mentality to play at the next level. Quickly releases off the line of scrimmage, immediately gets to top speed and plays to his 40 time. Works to come free and make himself an available target, extends his hands and makes receptions away from his frame. Blocks with proper fundamentals, squares into opponents and controls them at the point. Keeps his feet moving in pass protection, makes excellent use of angles and shows the ability to slide off the edge.
Neg:
Must improve his balance. Marginally productive and was never a big part of the Youngstown State passing game.
Analysis:
Rader possesses the size, athleticism and overall skill to develop into a third tight end at the next level if given the opportunity and properly coached.
