Three-year starter who led Arkansas with 743 receiving yards in 2016 and tied for fifth in the SEC with eight receiving touchdowns on 44 receptions. Suffered a season-ending foot injury in the second game of the 2015 season and redshirted. Made 43 catches for a team-high 558 yards and six touchdowns as a junior in 2014. Sophomore totals include 27 receptions for 346 yards and two touchdowns.
Nice-sized receiver with reliable hands. Quickly releases off the line of scrimmage, nicely adjusts to the errant throw and displays a sense of timing. Easily makes the reception on crossing patterns, effectively uses his frame to box out defenders and plays with excellent body control. Knows where he is on the field, fights to separate from opponents and flashes quickness in and out of routes. Comes back into the clearing to make himself an available target, shows solid hand-eye coordination and competes to come away with the contested grab. Keeps the play in bounds running after the catch and works to pick up positive yardage. Effective downfield blocker.
Unnecessarily lets the pass get inside him and doesn’t always grab the ball with his hands. One-speed receiver lacking a burst as well as the second gear.
Consistently productive on the college level, Hatcher is a reliable receiver with potential as a fifth wideout at the next level.
