Bio:
Three-year starter who made 38 tackles (6.5 for loss) with three sacks and one forced fumble in 2017. Posted 30 tackles (9.5 for loss) and 5.5 sacks as a junior in his first season back at defensive end full-time. Started 10 games at defensive tackle in 2015 and made 31 tackles (three for loss) with a half-sack and one forced fumble while still seeing time at end.
Pos:
Explosive defensive lineman with size limitations. Strong for his size and plays with tremendous pad level. Displays terrific quickness off the snap, beats defenders around the edge and has an explosive closing burst. Plays with great suddenness, keeps his feet moving and flashes the ability to push tackles back into the pocket. Effective with his hands and works them throughout the action. Quickly changes direction and shows the ability to pursue down the line of scrimmage.
Neg:
Swallowed up by a single blocker and overwhelmed at the point by talented tackles. Not a strong open-field tackler.
Analysis:
Street caused a lot of mayhem from his defensive end position and was a terrific college player. He offers possibilities as a two-gap end and may even be pushed inside and used as a three-technique tackle, but he will continue to rely on first-step quickness to get the job done.
