Tough but undersized college defensive end who projects to outside linebacker at the next level. Quick in his all-around game, displays a good change of direction as well as speed in both a straight line and laterally. Athletic, covers a lot of area on the field and breaks down well. Fires off the snap with an explosive first step, plays with proper pad level and fluid if asked to twist or stunt. Effectively uses his hands to protect himself.
Once blocked stays blocked. Overwhelmed or engulfed by opponents. Rarely asked to make plays in reverse.
Adams tormented college quarterbacks and consistently disrupted the action behind the line of scrimmage but lacks the size to come out of a three-point stance on Sunday. He has the measurables to play outside linebacker in a variety of alignments but must learn to make plays moving in reverse.
