Bio:
Two-year starter who earned Second Team All-MAC honors after a senior season in which he made 47 tackles -- including 17 for loss -- with 7.5 sacks and three forced fumbles. Recorded 41 tackles (10 for loss) and 5.5 sacks as a junior.
Pos:
Tough but undersized college defensive end who projects to outside linebacker at the next level. Quick in his all-around game and displays good change of direction and speed, both laterally and in a straight line. Athletic, covers a lot of area on the field and breaks down well. Fires off the snap with an explosive first step, plays with proper pad level and shows fluidity if asked to twist or stunt. Effectively uses his hands to protect himself.
Neg:
Once blocked he stays blocked. Overwhelmed or engulfed by opponents. Rarely asked to make plays in reverse.
Analysis:
Adams tormented college quarterbacks and consistently disrupted the action behind the line of scrimmage, but he lacks the size to come out of a three-point stance on Sundays. He has the measurables to play outside linebacker in a variety of alignments but must learn to make plays moving in reverse.
