Bio:
Three-year starter who earned Second Team All-Ohio Valley Conference honors in 2016 after completing 64 percent of his passes for 3,116 yards and 23 touchdowns with 11 interceptions. Led FCS in completions per game (30) and passing yards (3,778) as a junior, throwing for 22 touchdowns and seven interceptions. Completed 67.4 percent of his passes in 2014, recording 27 touchdown passes and 12 INTs while adding seven scores on the ground.
Pos:
Dual-threat quarterback who makes plays with his arm and his legs. Patient in the pocket, senses pressure and steps up to avoid it. Stays with the action, throws with an over-the-top delivery and has a live arm. Powers the ball into targets and drives deep throws. Easily gets outside the pocket to escape the rush and loses nothing throwing on the move. Runs only as a final option.
Neg:
Possesses poor field vision and forces passes into covered targets. Must improve his pass placement.
Analysis:
Humphries was a solid college quarterback but lacks throwing accuracy and does not possess the foot speed to move to an alternate position such as running back, receiver or safety.
