Three-year starter who led the MAC in rushing as a sophomore and senior, earning First Team All-MAC honors both times. Second Team All-MAC in 2015 after missing two games with a hamstring injury. Leaves Toledo as school’s all-time leading rusher with 4,945 yards on the ground.
Relatively productive college ball carrier with an inconsistent game. Patient, waits for blocks to develop and quickly finds the open lanes. Powerful, picks up yardage off initial contact or carries defenders for extra yardage. Keeps the play in bounds, works runs and falls forward when tackled. Displays outstanding vision carrying the ball and is a solid pass catcher out of the backfield. Effective blocker when required.
Lacks the pure quickness and speed to turn the corner. Doesn’t create yardage and is best running downhill between the tackles. Weight has fluctuated and his commitment has been questioned in the past.
Hunt was used as a rotational back at Toledo last season after a tremendous junior campaign. He has the skill set to be used as a situational ball carrier at the next level if he’s committed and continues to show the good things he displayed during the Senior Bowl.
