Bio:
Four-year starter who had his senior season cut short after six games due to a season-ending foot injury and rushed for 636 yards and four touchdowns on 124 carries. Earned Consensus First Team FCS All-America honors in 2015 after leading FCS with 2,092 rushing yards and 21 touchdowns and becoming the school’s all-time leader in rushing yards, all-purpose yards and scoring. Rushed for 740 yards and 11 touchdowns on 154 carries as a sophomore. Earned Southland Freshman of the Year honors in 2013 after setting a school freshman rushing record with 880 yards on 180 carries and scoring eight touchdowns.
Pos:
Small but creative ball carrier who gets the most from his ability. Quick-footed, avoids defenders and strings several moves together over the course of a single run. Sees the field, has a burst through the hole and runs behind his pads. Gets lost behind lineman and shows terrific vision and instincts.
Neg:
Easily brought down at the point by the first defender and doesn’t pick up much yardage off initial contact. Cut blocker that cannot take defenders out.
Analysis:
Harrington was a solid ball carrier on the small-school level but lacks the size and speed to play Sunday football.
