Three-year starter who was named one of 2017's "10 Biggest Combine Snubs" by Sporting News. Many feel Ware was snubbed from all-star game invites as well.
Large, athletic tackle with tremendous upside. Strong at the point, drives opponents off the line of scrimmage and gets a lot of movement run blocking. Displays solid lateral range with the ability to slide out off the edge and shut down pass rushers. Quickly sets up off the snap, blocks with leverage and keeps his feet as well as his hands active throughout the play. Plays to his size, flashes skill blocking at the second level and easily rides defenders from their angles of attack with violent hand punch.
Looks a bit top-heavy and does not sink his butt at the line of scrimmage. Bends at the waist and must improve his blocking balance and overall techniques in pass protection.
Ware is one of the most underrated tackle prospects in this year’s draft and is an athletic lineman with size as well as growth potential. He’s a tremendous developmental prospect who should get late-round consideration, but if he isn’t selected during the draft he will be quickly signed as an undrafted free agent.
