Bio:
Three-year starter who was named Honorable Mention All-AAC after leading UConn with 91 tackles (6.5 for loss) and adding four sacks in 2017. Made 81 tackles as a junior. Named Honorable Mention All-AAC in 2015 and finished second on the team with 93 tackles (3.5 for loss). Started four games as a redshirt freshman, making 41 tackles (four for loss).
Pos:
Productive, high-revving linebacker with poor size and speed. Physical, sells out to make plays and gives effort in all areas. Quick coming up the field, possesses a short burst of speed and squares into ball carriers. Effectively reads and diagnoses the action.
Neg:
Lacks true pursuit speed. Not quick changing direction. Overcommits himself on occasion and gets caught out of position.
Analysis:
Joseph was a terrific run stopper at the college level and projects as a two-down defender in the NFL but must stand out on special teams to make a roster.
