Two-year starter who ranked third in the SEC with 972 receiving yards and 11 touchdown catches in 2016 on 50 receptions. Caught 31 passes for 405 yards and two touchdowns as a sophomore in 2015. Started six games during his true freshman season, making 23 catches for 231 yards and one touchdown.
Nice-sized pass catcher coming off a career season. Possesses sneaky speed with the ability to get downfield, adjusts to the throw and effortlessly looks the ball into his hands. Easily makes the deep, over-the-shoulder reception. Extends his hands to make the reception away from his frame. Quickly gets into breaks, uses his frame to shield defenders or protect the pass and offers the quarterback a big target.
Lacks a quick release from the line of scrimmage. Occasionally cradles the ball against his frame rather than snatching it from the air. More of a long strider with built up speed.
Malone displayed consistent progress on the college level and really watched his game take off in 2016. He possesses the size and skill to develop into a productive third wideout on the NFL level.
