Bio:
One-year starter who made 23 tackles (four for loss) with one sack in 2016. Started all 12 games as a junior in 2015 and posted a career-high 27 tackles, including 8.5 for loss. Sophomore totals include 23 tackles (4.5 for loss), one sack and one interception.
Pos:
Massive interior tackle who makes an impact when focused on his game. Explosive off the snap, takes up a lot of room in the middle of the line and is at times impossible to move from the point. Works his hands throughout the action, flashes power and can be an overwhelming force.
Neg:
Gets tall, makes himself an easy target for opponents and is consistently neutralized at the point. Does not play with a nasty attitude. Very inconsistent.
Analysis:
Augusta possesses the size and body type necessary to play nose tackle at the next level but has been an underachiever during his college career. Unless he quickly changes his approach and attitude, he’ll struggle to make it out of camp.
