Bio:
Junior college transfer who started nine games in 2016 after retiring in early September before returning less than a month later when the Utah backfield was decimated by injury. Started his college career at UConn in 2012 before transferring to ASA College.
Pos:
Explosive ball carrier who displayed the ability to take over games last season. Patient, does a terrific job following blocks and possesses outstanding vision. Multi-cut ball carrier with the ability to create yardage and make defenders miss. Has a great burst, keeps his feet moving and is tough to bring down. Explodes through the hole and works runs. Gives effort blocking.
Neg:
Not a true perimeter runner. Lacks great size. Retired midseason before deciding to return.
Analysis:
Williams possesses the underlying ability to be used as a situational or third-down back on Sundays if he’s committed to football.
