Bio:
Four-year starter who made 57 tackles (five for loss) in 2016 with one sack and one interception. Named First Team All-Sun Belt as a junior after ranking second on the team with 72 tackles, 9.5 tackles for loss and four sacks and adding two interceptions. Earned Second Team All-Sun Belt honors in 2014, leading Appalachian State with 91 tackles (six for loss) and adding two sacks and one interception. Tied for the Southern Conference lead with three interceptions as a true freshman, adding 71 tackles and earning FCS Freshman All-American consideration.
Pos:
Small but productive run-defending linebacker constantly flying around the action. Athletic, moves well in every direction of the field and displays excellent range. Possesses quick change of direction, displays a closing burst and scrapes well laterally. Shows a good head for the ball and stacks well defending the run. Bends his knees, breaks down well and is forceful up the field on the blitz.
Neg:
Not a strong wrap-up tackler. Easily blocked from the action by tight ends. Indecisive in coverage.
Analysis:
Law is a smaller run-and-chase linebacker who could back up on the inside of a 3-4 alignment as well as play on coverage units.
