Pos:
Terrific-sized cornerback with a developing game. Quick and fluid in transition off the line, mixes it up with opponents throughout the route and plays heads-up football. Displays focus and concentration as well as good hands for the interception. Possesses a burst to the ball out of his plant, effectively works with safeties to bracket receivers and has a nasty streak. Fires up the field to defend screen passes and run plays and brings down larger ball carriers at the point of attack.
Neg:
Deep playing speed and the ability to stay downfield with opponents is a concern. Must be more consistent in his backpedal and in reverse, as he tends to side shuffle and float down the field.
Analysis:
Williams offers next-level size, has flashed ball skills and really developed his game over the past two seasons. He's a bump-and-run corner who may also get consideration at safety, and Williams comes with a large upside.
