Bio:
Three-year starter at left tackle who was named Honorable Mention All-Pac-12 in 2017. Earned Second Team All-Pac-12 honors as a junior. Tore his ACL early in the 2015 season and received a medical hardship waiver. Started 11 games as a sophomore. Redshirted the 2013 season after breaking a bone in his foot in July.
Pos:
Efficient college tackle who projects to guard at the next level. Explosive at the point of attack, displays outstanding vision and instincts as a blocker and works to stay square. Sets with a wide base, bends his knees and makes terrific use of angles to seal defenders from the action. Properly uses his hands, anchors at the point and gets movement as a run blocker.
Neg:
Not a nifty or nimble lineman and is better in a small area. Struggles to adjust. Comes off a disappointing senior campaign.
Analysis:
Irwin was graded as a potential fifth-round pick entering his senior season but never progressed on the field. He has the size, intelligence and temperament to make a next-level roster as a backup interior lineman.
