Bio:
First-year starter who caught 33 passes for 380 yards and four touchdowns in 2016 and became Arkansas’ all-time leader in receiving touchdowns for a tight end with 11. Led all SEC tight ends with six touchdowns on 27 receptions in 2015, adding 389 yards while playing behind Hunter Henry. Suspended for the 2016 Belk Bowl after getting caught shoplifting at a Belk store.
Pos:
Nice-sized tight end coming off a somewhat disappointing senior season. Blocks with solid mechanics, gets leverage on opponents and effectively uses his hands. Tough, plays through the whistle and works to finish blocks. Nicely adjusts to the errant throw and extends to make the reception away from his frame then works running after the catch. Strong blocker with the ability to anchor at the point and turn defenders from the action.
Neg:
Possesses average speed and is not a downfield threat. Shows stiffness in his game.
Analysis:
Sprinkle possesses the size and skill to line up as a second tight end on Sundays.
