Bio:
Three-year starter who made five starts as a senior and caught two passes for 19 yards. Made six receptions for 69 yards in 2016. Recorded 15 catches for 144 yards as a sophomore. Started 10 games as a true freshman and posted 18 receptions for 269 yards and two scores.
Pos:
Relatively athletic tight end prospect who comes off a disappointing season. Sized well, bends his knees and blocks with leverage. Stays square and shows ability as a position blocker. Keeps his head on a swivel, works well with teammates and always looks for someone to hit. Moves well about the field and effectively catches the ball.
Neg:
Possesses average strength at the point and does not finish blocks. Rarely part of the passing offense. Watched his production slide off after a terrific freshman campaign.
Analysis:
Blazevich has the size, speed and upside potential to play at the next level but never truly transitioned his athletic ability onto the football field. He’s a practice-squad prospect who must start to play up to his ability.
