Bio:
Two-year starter who earned Second Team All-MEAC honors in 2016 and was named First Team All-MEAC as a junior.
Pos:
Large, strong offensive tackle prospect with a nice degree of upside potential. Blocks with proper lean, stays with the action and makes good use of angles. Keeps his feet moving, can slide off the edge and displays solid lateral blocking range. Stays square, effectively gets his hands into defenders and rides opponents from their angles of attack. Plays with a large degree of quickness, flashes ability on the second level and gives effort. Explosive at the point and does enough to turn defenders from the action.
Neg:
Bends at the waist, lacks balance and struggles finishing blocks. Really does not sink his butt at the line of scrimmage. Tends to rumble around the field. Lacks great footwork off the edge.
Analysis:
Leamon was productive and durable for South Carolina State and possesses the size as well as the growth potential to play on the right side at the next level. He must improve the details of his position and consistently block with proper fundamentals but is worth considering in the very late rounds.
