Bio:
Three-year starter who was named Second Team All-Big Ten and led Penn State with 88 tackles (6.5 for loss) as a senior, adding 2.5 sacks, forcing two fumbles and breaking up three passes. Earned Third Team All-Big Ten honors and recorded 81 tackles (four for loss), one sack and three PBUs in 2016. Named Honorable Mention All-Big Ten and led the team with 100 tackles (5.5 for loss) as a sophomore, posting 2.5 sacks and five pass breakups.
Pos:
Hard-working linebacker who plays smart, disciplined football. Instinctive, displays a tremendous head for the ball and quickly reads the action. Quick closing to the play, breaks down well and stays on his feet. Athletic, nicely redirects to the ball carrier and shows excellent range and the ability to get to the sidelines. Has good speed in a straight line and laterally and wraps up tackling.
Neg:
Lacks height and gets smothered by blocks. Easily disrupted from the play by the initial hit. Not a strong wrap-up tackler.
Analysis:
Cabinda was a very productive linebacker at the college level and has the speed and skill to play in the NFL.
