Big, explosive safety with tremendous upside. Quick up the field defending the run, fires to the action and plays with a large degree of suddenness. Goes sideline to sideline, covers a lot of area and shows the ability to run across the field in pursuit to catch ball carriers. Relatively instinctive, shows good awareness in coverage and works well with cornerbacks bracketing receivers over the middle. Remains disciplined with assignments, shows good recognition in zone coverage and keeps the action in front of him.
Occasionally falls asleep and blows assignments. Stiff and not smooth pedaling in reverse. Average hands for the interception.
Adams is a versatile safety with the ability to line up all over the field in multiple schemes. He needs to improve his ball skills and coverage technique but should be a Day 1 starter whose best football is ahead of him.
