Made five starts as a true freshman in 2014 with 31 tackles (four for loss), two sacks, one interception and eight PBUs.
Consistent college cornerback who displayed steady progress in his game. Athletic, aggressive and effective covering the pass or defending the run. Works to get off blocks and make plays up the field against the run. Displays a sense of where the ball is in relation to his receiver and shows a burst to the action with next-level closing speed. Mixes it up with receivers, effectively times or anticipates pass defenses and has a nice move to the throw. For the most part effectively tracks the pass in the air then uses his frame to box out opponents and defend the throw.
Struggles staying on the receiver’s hip out of breaks. Deep speed may be a concern. Does not display good route recognition in zone.
Tabor is a skilled cornerback with good size who will break into a starting lineup at the next level once he completes his game and smoothes out the rough edges.
