Bio:
Four-year starter who earned Second Team All-Pac-12 honors and made 79 tackles with one interception, one forced fumble and three pass breakups in 2017. Named Honorable Mention All-Pac-12 and posted 77 tackles, one forced fumble and four PBUs as a junior. Earned Second Team All-Pac-12 honors and recorded 72 tackles (four for loss), two interceptions and four pass breakups in 2015. Made eight starts as a true freshman and was named Honorable Mention All-Pac-12 while making 59 tackles and one sack.
Pos:
Small safety with poor size and speed. Plays heads-up football, keeps the action in front of him and takes good angles to the play. Displays solid lateral range, quickly gets out to the corners in run defense and possesses good hands for the interception. Gives effort in all areas, wraps up tackling and brings ball carriers down in the open field.
Neg:
Lacks top lateral speed to get to the flanks. Size will result in mismatches at the next level.
Analysis:
Wadood was an efficient college safety but lacks next-level measurables. He could make it as an ninth defensive back if he plays well on special teams this summer.
