Versatile skill player with average size and speed numbers for the next level. Plays with a great degree of quickness and agility and has enough ability to turn the corner. Elusive, avoids piles and creates yardage. Will pick and choose his spots, runs with outstanding vision and quickly finds the open lanes. Terrific receiver out of the backfield, displaying soft and sure hands while adjusting to the errant throw then making the reception in stride. Outstanding open-field ball carrier who uses blocks at every level. Strings several moves together and easily changes direction or alters the angle of runs.
Easily brought down at the point by a single defender and doesn’t pick up much yardage off initial contact. One-speed skill player who cannot beat defenders into the open field or run to daylight.
Thomas was very productive on the college level and could very easily find himself on a roster as a third-down back and situational ball carrier. The ability to create yardage as well as catch the ball out of the backfield will be attractive to teams.
