Bio:
Two-year starter who made 21 tackles in 2017. Named Honorable Mention All-ACC and made 43 tackles (six for loss) with 4.5 sacks as a junior. Started four games in 2015 and posted 32 tackles (three for loss) with three sacks.
Pos:
Hard-working middle linebacker prospect coming off a disappointing season. Relatively athletic, fast both laterally and in a straight line and plays heads-up football. Instinctive, scrapes well to the action and takes proper angles. Breaks down well, uses his hands to protect himself and effectively reads and diagnoses the action. Tough run defender who also gets depth on pass drops.
Neg:
Marginally productive throughout his Florida State career. Struggles getting off blocks.
Analysis:
Pugh was given late-round grades coming off a solid junior campaign but failed to respond last season. He possesses the size and speed to play at the next level but must show consistency and pick up his production.
