Bio:
Two-year starter who made 51 tackles with two interceptions, one forced fumble and six pass breakups as a junior. Started three of five games and made 23 tackles in 2016 while missing the majority of the season for undisclosed reasons. Made eight starts and was named Honorable Mention All-Big 12 as a true freshman, recording 49 tackles, one interception and four PBUs.
Pos:
Underrated cornerback with big upside. Aggressive, mixes it up with receivers and battles throughout the route. Displays a quick and fluid backpedal. Fluid flipping his hips in transition, stays on the receiver’s hip out of breaks and has an explosive closing burst to the ball. Keeps the action in front of him, gives effort against the run and wraps up tackling. Brings ball carriers down in the open field.
Neg:
Slow to react. Struggles to make plays with his back to the ball. Has character issues and has been characterized as immature.
Analysis:
Hill possesses the size, athleticism and physicality to develop into a starter at the next level in a variety of systems. He comes with big upside but must make football a priority to have a career at the next level.
