Bio:
Junior college transfer who started 13 games at left tackle in his lone season with Utah, earning First Team All-Pac-12 honors. Moved to the offensive line at Snow College after spending his high school career at defensive tackle. Served a Latter Day Saints church mission a few years after having issues staying on the field in high school due to off-field issues.
Pos:
Junior college transfer who moved into the starting lineup last season and now moves towards the draft as the premier left tackle available. Athletic, fluid and shows terrific lateral blocking range. Sets with a wide base, keeps his feet moving and easily anchors in pass protection. Correctly places his hands into defenders, blocks with a nasty attitude and knocks defenders away with violent punch. Fundamentally sound, blocks with proper pad level and stays square. Keeps the opponent in front of him and attacks assignments.
Neg:
Must improve the strength of his base, learn to finish blocks and take his run blocking to the next level. Struggles turning defenders from the line. Over-aged.
Analysis:
Bolles made in immediate impression on scouts the moment he stepped on the field as Utah’s starting left tackle last season. He plays athletic football, comes with terrific upside and could quickly become a top pass-blocking left tackle in the league.
