Bio:
Four-year starter who earned First Team All-Pac-12 honors as both a junior and a senior. Finished second in the Pac-12 with 89 receptions and third with 13 touchdowns in 2016, racking up 894 yards. Led the conference in receptions (104) and receiving touchdowns (15) in 2015 and finished second with 1,192 yards. Redshirted in 2014 after he was arrested in a bar fight over the winter and suffered a concussion in fall camp. Caught a team-high 74 passes for 807 yards, also first on the team, and seven touchdowns in 2013. Started seven games as a freshman with 49 receptions for 560 yards and two touchdowns.
Pos:
Ultra-productive receiver best running underneath routes. Fluid releasing off the line of scrimmage, immediately gets to top speed and runs terrific routes. Fires into breaks, quickly exits routes and stays low to position himself to make the reception. Nicely tracks the pass in the air, exposes himself to the big hit and looks the ball into his hands, making the reception away from his frame. Plays with balance and body control and effectively uses the sidelines.
Neg:
One-speed receiver. Average run-after-catch skill. Does not always come away with the difficult reception as expected.
Analysis:
Marks benefited from the high-octane offense at Washington State but lacks great athleticism and upside for the next level. That being the case, he has enough ability to make a roster as a fifth receiver lining up in the slot or on the flanks.
