Named Second Team All-SEC in 2015, posting 38 receptions for 464 yards and two touchdowns. Earned First Team All-SEC and caught 38 passes for 662 yards and two scores as a sophomore in 2014. Started six games as a true freshman, making 21 catches for 268 yards and three touchdowns.
Pos:
Athletic tight end developing a complete game. Fluid, works hard in all areas and displays himself as a natural pass catcher. Easily adjusts to the errant throw, makes the reception in stride and extends his hands to consistently grab the ball away from his frame. Sells routes, makes the tough catch in a crowd and holds onto the ball. Extends his hands offering the quarterback a target, shows the ability to get downfield and makes the deep reception in stride. Always working to separate from opponents. Stays square as a blocker showing strength at the point of attack.
Neg:
Does not position himself out of breaks to make the reception and oftentimes has passes bouncing off his hands. Dropped a lot of catchable throws the past two years and did not consistently come away with the tough grab.
Analysis:
Engram looks the part and often plays to it but has shown inconsistency in his game. He offers starting potential but must stay away from the mental errors in order to see the field on a consistent basis every Sunday.
