Pos:
Hard-charging downhill ball carrier who comes off a career season in which he posted 1,018 yards on the ground and seven TDs. Displays a terrific burst through the hole, keeps his feet moving and breaks the first tackle to pick up a lot of yardage off initial contact. Powerful, runs over defenders and consistently runs north/south. Runs with proper lean, drives forward for extra yardage and falls forward when tackled. Displays burst through the hole and gets a lot of momentum going. Solid pass catcher out of the backfield who extends his hands to make the reception away from his frame.
Neg:
Lacks the speed and agility necessary to turn the corner. Loses a lot of momentum when he changes direction or cuts back against the grain and does not possess true breakaway speed. Minimally productive before last season.
Analysis:
Holyfield comes off a career campaign but has a limited game and must be kept between the tackles. He'll have an opportunity to line up as a short-yardage back at the next level but must add more skills to his ball-carrying arsenal if he's to make an NFL roster.
