Bio:
Two-year starter who earned First Team All-OVC honors and led Tennessee State in sacks in each of his final three seasons with the Tigers. Made 43 tackles (7.5 for loss) with four sacks and three pass breakups in 2017. Led the team with 11 tackles for loss and recorded 48 tackles, 5.5 sacks and one forced fumble as a junior despite missing three games due to injury and coming off the bench in several others. Tied for the team lead with 10 tackles for loss and added 52 tackles, five sacks and one forced fumble in 2015. Made five tackles as a redshirt freshman at Clemson before transferring.
Pos:
Hard-working linebacker who gets the most from his ability. Displays solid movement skills, fluidly changes direction and flows well laterally from the back side. Breaks down well, plays with balance and bends off the edge on the blitz. Keeps his feet moving and his hands active. Forceful up the field. Plays with a nasty attitude but remains disciplined with assignments.
Neg:
Displays average burst and marginal lateral speed. Minimally effective in pursuit. Struggles in coverage.
Analysis:
Ogundeko possesses the size and mentality to be a two-down run defender and line up on special teams.
