On episode No. 71 of The Draft Analysts, Chris Tripodi and Tony Pauline begin their AFC West draft reviews with the Denver Broncos and the Kansas City Chiefs. They discuss Denver acquiring several picks to move down 10 spots in Round 1 and still landing a high-upside skill player in former Iowa Hawkeyes tight end Noah Fant and a potential quarterback of the future in ex-Missouri Tigers signal caller Drew Lock in Round 2 in addition to several solid prospects in the final five rounds. The duo then breaks down the Chiefs draft, which lacked a first-round pick after the team traded for former Seattle Seahawks edge rusher Frank Clark but still landed them a borderline first-round prospect in ex-Virginia safety Juan Thornhill late in Round 2. They also added a potential Tyreek Hill replacement earlier in the round as well as several players with good upside on the third day.
