Bio:
Four-year starter and senior captain who earned First Team All-Ivy League honors in 2016 and Second Team All-Ivy League honors in 2015. Career totals include 265 tackles, four interceptions, six forced fumbles and four fumble recoveries. Received the Ronald A. Rogerson Award as a senior for being the member of the football team whose spirit and love of the game served as a special inspiration to his fellow players.
Pos:
Nice-sized safety best making plays against the run. Effectively reads and diagnoses the action, displays solid lateral range and takes proper angles to the play. Plays smart, tough football, keeps the action in front of him and willingly throws his pads into the pile. Fires up the field defending running plays or screen passes and wraps up tackling.
Neg:
Gets a little bit high in his backpedal and looks stiff. One-speed defender who lacks a great lateral burst.
Analysis:
Williams was a productive run defender for Princeton and plays with a special-teams mentality. He’s a long shot to make it but if he plays well on coverage units this summer, he could find a home as a ninth defensive back.
