Bio:
Four-year starter who earned First Team All-MIAA honors in 2016. Was awarded Second Team All-MIAA honors as a junior. Finished his senior season with 60 tackles, two interceptions, two forced fumbles and one fumble recovery.
Pos:
Relatively athletic safety who lacks a physical game. Plays with good speed, easily changes direction and shows solid range with the ability to get out to the flanks in pursuit. Quick flipping his hips in transition, keeps the action in front of him and makes plays in every area of the field.
Neg:
Does not work very hard to get off blocks. Doesn’t show a physical nature to his game. Not a secure tackler.
Analysis:
Washington possesses next-level size and speed numbers and flashes ability but must pick up the intensity and consistency of his game to have any chance of making it out of camp in August.
