Bio:
Three-year starter who earned First Team All-AAC honors and an invite to the East-West Shrine Game after making 66 tackles (10.5 for loss) with six sacks in 2017. Named Second Team All-AAC and earned USF’s team MVP award after posting 49 tackles (seven for loss) with one sack as a junior. Made 46 tackles (5.5 for loss) in 2015.
Pos:
Short but explosive and stout defensive tackle with potential in a variety of defensive schemes. Built low to the ground, displays tremendous first-step quickness and works his hands to protect himself. Easily changes direction, displays the ability to pursue the action outside the box and chases hard. Explosive, tough to handle and flashes power in his lower body. Does not give up an inch to opponents and easily holds his ground. Has a thick build, plays strong and aggressive football and works to finish the play.
Neg:
Lack of height will be an issue against taller offensive linemen who can block down on him. Possesses an average closing burst. Gets caught up in the traffic and isn’t quick disengaging from blocks.
Analysis:
Senat was a steady playmaker for South Florida and appeared to be the No. 1 prospect during this year’s Shrine Game practices. He’s a hard-working, competitive lineman and a team player who will be an asset to any franchise as a three-technique tackle or one-gap lineman.
