Bio:
Graduate transfer from South Carolina who made one start and led Arkansas in rushing with 656 yards and eight touchdowns on 117 carries in 2017. Rushed 56 times for 239 yards and three TDs as a junior with the Gamecocks. Started four games and carried 86 times for 299 yards in 2015. Rushed for 256 yards and two scores on 45 carries as a redshirt freshman.
Pos:
Big-bodied ball carrier with a nice amount of next-level potential. Aggressive, displays good short-area quickness and consistently runs north and south. Uses an effective straight arm to keep defenders away, keeps his feet moving and drives his shoulders through defenders. Patient, finds running lanes and has a short burst through the hole. Rarely brought down by the first defender and picks up a lot of yardage off initial contact. Helps the quarterback sell ball fakes.
Neg:
Not a creative ball carrier. Gets in trouble when he runs east and west.
Analysis:
Williams is a stout, resilient short-yardage ball carrier who has been dismissed in the scouting community. Unlikely to get drafted, he could be a bargain pick up as a free agent.
