Four-year starter at fullback who carried three times for eight yards and caught three passes for 17 yards in 2016. Set career high with 33 rushes for 183 yards in 2015, scoring one touchdown and making 10 receptions for 91 yards. Had 57 total yards and two touchdowns as a sophomore. Rushed for 137 yards and two touchdowns on 26 carries as a freshman and added eight receptions for 29 yards and a score.
Hard-working and versatile fullback with an underrated game. Displays good blocking vision, squares into opponents and shows explosiveness at the point. Quick out to the second level, shows the ability to redirect or adjust to linebackers and is effective blocking in motion. Solid short-yardage ball carrier who displays the ability to weave through the traffic and pick up positive yardage. Effective pass catcher who adjusts to the errant throw and looks the ball into his hands.
Must improve his overall playing strength. Does not always do a good job picking up the blitz. Deficient in pass protection.
Laufasa offers solid size and speed numbers and is a fullback effective handling the ball as well as blocking. He needs to improve his playing strength but comes with a good degree of upside and is a solid developmental prospect who should get consideration on a practice squad.
