Bio:
One-year starter who moved from wide receiver to tight end midway through his freshman season. Earned Honorable Mention All-Pac-12 in 2016 despite starting just six games, making 17 catches for 307 yards and three touchdowns. Made eight starts as a junior, catching 19 passes for 250 yards and one touchdown. Sophomore totals include 11 receptions for 171 yards and one score in 2014.
Pos:
Athletic tight end prospect who’s a legitimate downfield pass-catching threat. Explosive at the point, bends his knees as a blocker and stays square. Consistently finds the open spot in the defense as a pass catcher and extends his hands to make the reception away from his frame. Solid downfield pass catcher with the ability to snatch the errant pass from the air.
Neg:
Lacks a quick release off the line and takes a while to get going. Does not do a good job selling routes. Must improve his blocking strength.
Analysis:
Daniels displayed a lot of ability the past two seasons and is a perfect fit for a team needing a move tight end or H-back. He should only improve as he physically matures and adds strength to his frame.
