Bio:
Two-year starter at safety who was named Honorable Mention All-Big Ten in both of those seasons. Led the Buckeyes with five interceptions and made 61 tackles with three pass breakups as a senior. Posted 57 tackles, one interception and three PBUs in 2016. Combined to make 13 tackles as a cornerback during his first two seasons at Ohio State.
Pos:
Tough, run-defending safety with average size and speed. Effectively reads and diagnoses the action, quickly moves up the field and wraps up tackling. Effective tackling in the open field, keeps the action in front of him and shows a good move to the ball. Works hard and mixes it up with opponents. Shows good route recognition in zone and effectively reads the quarterback’s eyes and makes his move to the throw. Possesses good hands for the interception.
Neg:
Inefficient and does not always take proper angles to the action. Indecisive in coverage. Really cannot plant and explode to the ball.
Analysis:
Webb is an efficient safety who lacks great upside but can be used in dime packages and play on special teams.
