Bio:
Two-year starter who started both seasons at Utah State after transferring from BYU. Named Honorable Mention All-Mountain West and made 82 tackles with four interceptions and five pass breakups in 2017. Led the team with three interceptions and posted 57 tackles as a junior. Redshirted the 2015 season after transferring. Started four games and recorded 43 tackles (3.5 for loss) and 1.5 sacks as a sophomore at BYU.
Pos:
Aggressive defensive back with a versatile game. Remains disciplined with assignments, keeps the action in front of him and displays excellent instincts. Quickly picks up coverage assignments, shows a burst to the ball and wraps up tackling. Fluid, agile and solid in run defense.
Neg:
Possesses average speed and is a liability down the field. Overmatched by taller receivers. Not stout at the point of attack.
Analysis:
Leavitt gets the most from his ability but comes with limited upside. Best facing the action, he must stand out on special teams this summer to have any opportunity at the next level.
