Four-year starter. MAC Freshman of the Year who earned Second Team All-MAC after posting 67 receptions for 941 yards and six touchdowns in his initial season. Named First Team All-MAC during each of his final three seasons with the Broncos and was an NCAA Consensus All-American as a senior, when he tied for the FBS lead with 19 receiving touchdowns. Eclipsed 1,400 receiving yards and 12 scores in each of his final three seasons, making at least 90 receptions as both a junior and senior.
Celebrated college receiver with starting potential for the next level. Fluid releasing off the line scrimmage, plays with excellent balance as well as body control. On the same page as his quarterback, works to make himself an available target and consistently extends his hands then makes the reception away from his frame. Displays soft hands, terrific eye/hand coordination as well as focus. Sturdy, makes the difficult catch in a crowd and holds onto the throw. Exposes himself to the big hit, takes a pounding yet comes away with the ball. Gets vertical over opponents and adjusts to pull the errant throw from the air. Plays smart football and consistently locates the open spot on the field. Keeps the play in bounds running after the catch and works to pick up positive yardage.
Lacks the 2nd gear and not a true downfield threat. Sustained an ankle injury apparently the combine which required surgery to repair.
Davis has the skill, body type and ability to develop into a starting wide out at the next level and all signs on his game are pointing North.
