Bio:
Started five games as a senior and led Texas with six rushing touchdowns while carrying 71 times for 314 yards and catching 18 passes for 229 yards and two scores. Announced plans to transfer after the 2017 season but instead declared for the NFL draft. Rushed 62 times for 366 yards and three TDs in four games in 2016 before a knee injury ended his season. Made two starts and posted 71 carries for 470 yards and four scores as a true freshman.
Pos:
Powerful, downhill ball carrier who picks up a lot of yardage off initial contact. Strong in all aspects of his game and displays outstanding vision and solid short-area quickness. Rarely brought down by the first defender, breaks arm tackles and carries defenders for yards at a clip. Possesses excellent vision as both a blocker and ball carrier, displays a short burst and plays with an aggressive attitude. Squares into defenders and takes them from their angles of attack.
Neg:
Lacks the speed and agility to turn the corner. Not a creative ball carrier who makes defenders miss.
Analysis:
Warren is a hard-charging, short-yardage ball carrier who also does a great job as a blocker. He’s not a back for everyone but can be a productive role player.
