Bio:
First-year starter named Honorable Mention All-Big 12 after making 75 tackles (four for loss) in 2016. Made three starts as a junior with 55 tackles (5.5 for loss) and three sacks. Redshirted in 2014 due to a knee injury suffered in the season opener. Played sparingly his first two seasons at Kansas State.
Pos:
Small but fierce linebacker who is tremendous in pursuit. Fast, moves with speed in every direction and runs across the field, catching ball handlers from the back side. Plays with a relentless all-out style, fires up the field defending the run and shows a degree of suddenness in his game. Possesses a good head for the ball, effectively reads and diagnoses the action and shows explosiveness at the point. Quick closing to the play, wraps up tackling and gives effort in run defense. Gets depth on pass drops.
Neg:
Small, lacks bulk and gets easily blocked from the action. Will struggle matching up against taller tight ends.
Analysis:
Moore is an underrated linebacker who should have received an invitation to the combine. He possesses the speed and instincts to play on Sundays, but size is a limiting factor. Moore should be an effective nickel linebacker and special teams player in a one-gap defense.
