Three-year starter who missed several games as a senior due to an elbow injury but still earned Honorable Mention All-Big Ten honors. Posted 19 receptions for 190 yards and a touchdown in 2016 after making 24 catches for 329 yards and two scores in 11 games as a junior. Missed four games with a foot injury in 2014.
Athletic tight end prospect with marginal production. Quick and fluid releasing off the line of scrimmage, plays to his 40 time and shows the ability to get down the seam into the deep field. Nicely adjusts to the errant throw, easily makes the reception on crossing patterns and extends to catch the ball away from his frame. Blocks with good lean, leverage and stays square. Shows ability on the 2nd level or blocking in motion.
Struggled with injury through part of his college career. Does not display himself as a natural pass catcher. Never a big part of the passing game at Nebraska.
Carter is a terrific athlete who showed flashes on the field the past three seasons and comes with a good degree of upside but also needs a lot of work on his game.
