Bio:
Two-year starter who was the leader of the defensive line in 2016. Led the entire defense with 69 tackles, four sacks, and five forced fumbles as a senior.
Pos:
Big-play receiver who showed consistent progress in his game. Plays with balance and body control and displays focus as well as concentration. Tracks the pass in the air, easily adjusts to the errant throw and gets up in a crowd then comes down with the contested reception. Quickly releases off the line of scrimmage, shows a tremendous burst during the initial 10 yards and easily runs by defenders. Proved himself to be a deep threat, consistently getting behind opponents on vertical routes. Shows soft hands when he extends to make the reception away from his frame. Dangerous in the open field and shows run-after-catch skill.
Neg:
Does too much unnecessary body-catching or securing of the ball against his frame rather than cleanly snatching it from the air. May struggle handling jams at the next level.
Analysis:
Henderson was a home run-hitting receiver for Louisiana Tech and possesses the speed and pass-catching skills necessary to be a deep threat on Sundays. He comes with return skills but is a prospect who must consistently catch the ball with proper fundamentals in order to achieve the level of success scouts believe he possesses.
