Bio:
Four-year starter who earned First Team All-ACC honors and finished tied for second in the conference with nine touchdown catches on 44 receptions in 2017, adding 556 yards. Caught 30 passes for 426 yards and three touchdowns as a junior. Named Honorable Mention All-ACC and tied for the team lead with four receiving touchdowns in 2015, making 46 catches for 562 yards. Led Wake Forest in all major receiving categories as a true freshman, posting 54 receptions for 531 yards and five scores.
Pos:
Hard-working tight end with average size and speed. Quickly releases off the snap and displays outstanding blocking vision and excellent awareness. Squares into defenders, seals them from the action and plays with proper leverage. Runs decent routes and extends to make receptions away from his frame.
Neg:
One-speed tight end who cannot split the seam. Shows a lot of stiffness in his game. Production has dropped off significantly since his outstanding freshman campaign.
Analysis:
Serigne is a hard-working tight end who gets the most from his ability but lacks the speed to be a playmaking tight end and the strength to stand up as a big-time blocker. His tenacity and smarts could help him catch on as the third man on the depth chart.
